Windows 7 Installation in VMware Workstation

VMware Workstation (Wikipedia) is a virtual machine software which allows the user to install one or more operating system. This software is what we used to install the Windows 7 (Microsoft) operating system. The following images will show you how I install the operating system.

First, this image shows the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the Vmware Workstation. To add a new virtual machine, click New Virtual Machine then the New Virtual Machine Wizard will open. From the wizard, choose I will install the operating system later.

And now, you need to choose what Operating System and its version you will install. Since I'm installing Windows 7, I chose Microsoft Windows and Windows 7 under Version.

Here, I just chose the default location but you can also change it if you want.

I preferred having 40GB for my operating system.
In this section, from the New Virtual Machine Wizard (shown on the lower-right corner) choose Customize Hardware... In Hardware (shown on the upper-left corner) window choose New CD/DVD and from the Connection section choose Use ISO image file. A window will then open to allow you find the file.

After that, if you successfully loaded the ISO image file, Windows 7 installation will start.

Follow the steps and after few minutes you'll be able to have a virtual machine for Windows 7.
